Are people blind?!
It's common that many good artists and drawers gets overlooked because of DeviantArt is highly competitive. If there are many good artists in one place, it would be very much for people to take in. So they will only notice some and watch them. It would be easier to get noticed if there were fewer skilled people at one place, so the skilled ones stood more out.
But artists of this quality are so rare. I think that's unfair. People with this talent on traditional drawing are very rare, even here.
I'm agree it's unfair that people who draws this well doesn't get more attention and appreciation. I also think the most skilled artists are relatively rare on DeviantArt since they tends to be relatively rare in general speaking, but they are way more common on DeviantArt compared to other platforms and art galleries.
DeviantArt has for a long time been relatively conservative leaning when it comes to art and appreciated highly skilled artists. Most people here values quality, effort and aesthetics. I rarely see any of the simpler art on DeviantArt that you can find in art galleries. There aren't much Dada-art, Jackson Pollocks or Mark Rothko here.
